are commercials allowed?

i dont think so because they dont qualify as a film or tv show but i will wait for staff to reply.

Er no, certainly not at the moment seeing as they are not connected to any physical releases.

Yeah i thought so too.

Users are not to index FILMS without there being a corresponding release. That was made clear by developers a long time ago.

RELEASE FIRST - FILM SECOND

Why should't commercials be allowed. Last week i came across a vhs tape of a commercial for an insurance company. So that means physical copies of commercials exist. The fact that they don't fit into a category doesn't say they can not be added. But like EK_ said. You should have the release in gront of you before adding the film.

I've entered one: https://www.filmo.gs/release/285218-cog

this was a specific release, on DVD, of a commercial. It even has 'extras' such as you would find on a feature film release.

The collections of works by music video directors, on Palm Pictures, also contain key commercials they made.

So I agree that where physical copies exist - they should be in the database.
